Conference Following on from the extremely successful inaugural NIPPA awards held in Sydney last year, the 2008 program was launched by NIPPA President David Harrison today. “The 2008 NIPPA awards carry great significance to the winners and even those simply nominated” Mr Harrison said “They are in recognition of the values and talent that are present within in-house print operations throughout Australasia”.
The 2008 awards are for work produced using digital technology, offset technology and include ‘Best in Category’ for a range distinct product types. Other awards include ‘Outstanding Business of the Year’, ‘Outstanding Contribution to NIPPA’ and a ‘NIPPA Scholarship Award’.
The Committee of Management have added an award for ‘Creative Design’ this year. “Once again, it is in recognition of some quite stunning graphic design talent present in In-house print operations throughout Australasia” Mr Harrison said.
The Awards ceremony is a feature of the NIPPA Annual conference to be held in Rotorua from the 15th to the 17th of October. The conference entitled “Endeavour – A Journey of Discovery’ features a range of local and international guest speakers.
Mr Harrison said “We are providing a limited number of airfare subsidy this year to encourage members from Australia to make the journey to New Zealand. It will be worth it - so book early to avoid disappointment”
