Following the success of last years Advanced Colour Management courses, Chromaticity Australia is pleased to announce a series of dates across 2006.

Chromaticity’s local Australian colour expert David Crowther will direct the course, and will use the latest colour management equipment to give participant’s hands on training of some of the leading systems available on the market.
Remaining dates for 2006

June 28th, 29th & 30th

Unparalleled by any other training course in the industry this course will give professionals the in-depth, specialist information they need to be ahead of the game in today’s competitive colour reproduction arena.

The course will be a blend of discussions, presentations and practical activities. In recent years candidates have included prepress managers, pressroom personnel, packaging graphics personnel, publishers and brand managers and have had 100% positive feedback.

Feedback from the recent courses run in Sydney suggests that Chromaticity Australia is delivering the best Colour Management course currently available to the industry.

Ben Russell, Studio & Photographic Manager, Greg Russell Advertising Pty Ltd, made the comment, “Over the past four years we have been developing our colour management systems by working with various printers & attending many of the short courses that are being developed to fill a knowledge gap in our industry. I found the Chromaticity Advanced Colour course to be best so far due to the topics covered & the manner in which it was delivered. The course reaffirmed my knowledge and gave me confidence to push forward in the field of colour management.”

Similar responses were given by other professionals, Mark Soulie, Advertising Quality Control Manager of News Ltd NSW said, “The course has given me a stronger belief in what I already knew. It has placed foundations and broadened my understanding of concepts of ICC. ICC editing was particularly useful; the knowledge of whether to edit the source or destination point is highly beneficial.”

It has also been confirmed that the courses have a direct effect on efficient workflow practices. Greg Power, Photographer Imaging Services, of the National Library Australia made the comment, “The knowledge gained in pre-press calibration and profiling will help the National Library of Australia to further its development of colour management when working with the printing industry, saving us time and money. “

David Lloyd, AMCOR Flexibles, Regents Park, also added, “I was pleased with the course; there are currently a number of projects on site that will be directly enhanced by the advanced colour management knowledge.”

David Crowther, Manager & Instructor from Chromaticity Australia (pictured) said, “These training courses are designed to provide hands on working knowledge of colour management tools, practices, processes and implementation. On completion of the course, participants will have an advanced professional knowledge of terminology, processes and procedures required to design, implement and operate a colour managed work flow. Attendees who pass the certificate assessment will receive the highly regarded Colour by ChromaticityCertification for Colour Management Implementation.”
