In the current economic climate it is even more important than ever for a business to have full understanding of their costs, expenditure, wastage and sales performance against target.

The Accura MIS programme, available exclusively in Australia & New Zealand from DES, addresses all of these areas in one fully integrated modular package.


Not only does it address all of the old clichés of improving efficiency, saving time and increasing productivity etc, it also shows these benefits in real quantifiable monetary terms. Some of our key features include:


Job Change Monitor
A big revenue loser for many printers is, not charging for extras when running a job. Accura has a job change monitor which enables the user to log the changes on the system as they occur, and it then creates a job change/approval note which can be faxed or e-mailed direct to the client for his records. This detail is automatically logged against the job. When the invoice is raised, the order extras are automatically pulled through as extra line items. This one feature alone can in some cases justify the system investment on its own!


Accura works on a “Cost Plus” principle, enabling the printer to see the projected costs of running the job before deciding if he wants to take it on, as he can see the projected margin, value add and contribution figures.


Cost Rate Calculator
At the heart of the Accura system is a very powerful unique management tool called the “Cost Rate” calculator. The “Cost Rate” calculator allows the printer to determine the necessary chargeable hourly rates for each cost centre within the business (a cost centre being a machine, department etc). It takes into account the unique overheads of the business, any specific direct costs allocated to each cost centre, and the projected number of achievable chargeable hours that can be billed. Using a formula based process it then calculates the chargeable hourly rate needed for each cost centre to recover its own costs. It is these figures that are fed back into the estimating module to create quotations.


Job Costing Module

To achieve even more management information about the business, Accura has a fully integrated Job Costing module which enables the user to record actual times, material useage, outwork costs and extras from a time sheet, touch screen, key board or bar code reader. Thus providing actual-versus-estimate analysis and other management information, which also provides real time job tracking which can be viewed on-screen via the integrated tracking board which is a standard feature.


CRM Module
A recent powerful addition to the Accura suite is a fully integrated CRM module, providing full sales and marketing functionality such as mail and e-shot broadcasting, campaign management, sales forecasting and tracking, as well as an online diary for appointments which links to outlook. The module also supports VOIP and mobile phone connectivity with SMS texting facilities.


Accura Online Module

The NEW Accura On-Line line module completes the circle, providing on-line quote and order request, on-line proofing and an on-line store with shopping cart for the management of finished stock and product items.


In summary, Accura is a complete, print business management system providing all of the functionality required to run a successful business from one fully integrated programme. It is applicable for all types of printing businesses, as well as finishing companies, print management and advertising agencies.
